Susan McPherson
Founder & President
Susan has been in ministry for 19 years and has a passion for serving and equipping women in ministry which is what prompted her to create the God Girl Nation community. Susan is on the sales and author acquisitions team at David C Cook, a non-profit Christian publisher, where she works with churches, ministries, and authors to develop resources that teach and make disciples for Christ. She also travels to speak and sing, bringing God’s word to life through her message of hope in Christ. Susan’s willingness to share her personal journey of faith brings an authenticity that connects with women of all ages. Susan has been happily married to her husband, Chip, for 28 years and blessed with three adult children.

Gabbi Hartzell
Leadership Director
Gabbi is a writer, speaker, leader, and seeker of adventure and fun (so, obviously, an Enneagram 7w6)! Among being a wife and mother to two spunky little girls, Gabbi is also the Founder and Director of The Well, a regional women’s ministry based out of Southeastern Kentucky; as well as Prom Prep, a national campaign. She is a co-host on the Podcast show Moxie Mamas and is currently writing her first book! She loves her local faith family and is on staff full-time at The Creek Church in Kentucky. Other things Gabbi loves includes pizza, mint chocolate chip ice-cream, snapchat filters, coffee, laughing, and spending time with her family and friends. It’s Gabbi’s deepest desire to see a movement of people linked arm-in-arm, set free from insecurity and fear, and pursuing their God-given purpose in life.

Jean Thomason
Children's Ministry Director
Jean Thomason has more than 35 years of experience as a musical performer, worship leader, author and conference speaker to women, parents, grandparents, teachers and children’s ministers. AND, she is the living embodiment of the joyful children’s musical character, “Miss PattyCake.” Through this brightly costumed character, Jean plants biblical truths into little lives, while helping equip parents to lay a spiritual foundation. Her recently published book is, “Sharing God’s BIG LOVE with Little Lives.” She and her husband have 2 grown children, and live in Franklin, TN.

Ainsley Britain
Youth and Young Adult Director
Ainsley is an author, speaker and dream champion, empowering believers to adventure with Jesus while embracing a fierce self love. She began speaking the same year she started the 501c3, Unveiled Campaign. With a communications degree in Mass Communications from Belmont University and extensive training with Josh Shipp, SheSpeaks and more, she hopes to facilitate healthy, God-filled relationships within the family and beyond. She and her husband are professional state hoppers who have lived in Louisiana, Tennessee, New York and currently, Texas! They love donuts and catching a flight for their next adventure. She’s currently working on her second book and would love to connect with you! Also she wants you to know she’s an Enneagram 2w3.

Mandy Johnson
Content Coordinator
Mandy Johnson is a high-energy, encouraging writer and speaker with a passion for investing in women. She works closely with college students through the college ministry at Cross Point Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Mandy has a heart for mentoring young women, and hopes to inspire them to chase their God-given dreams. She graduated from Clemson University, and loves cheering on the Tigers with her husband, Kyle, and their fur-child, Dolly!

Angela Reed
Director of Personal Development
A naturally caffeinated communicator, connector, curiosity catalyst, leader, singer, and writer, Angela has exercised her gifts within communication across various platforms for over 25 years; from the corporate training world to serving as media talent for television and film projects. A creative to the core, Angela’s passion for people is a key driver behind her desire to hear everyone’s story – one voice at a time. As a speaker and singer, Angela has a passion for ministering to women, parents, and young adults, gleaning from her own experiences in life to share her message of hope, empowerment, purpose, and action. Her leadership roles in ministry are focused on women, couples, parents, and youth as well as worship leadership. The former Miss Georgia America & Miss Georgia USA preliminary titleholder has served as an advocate for child abuse awareness, early childhood education, and youth development for decades. She is beyond blessed to wear the titles of wife to her husband and mommy to two amazing little boys!

Jenesis Smith
Marketing Director
Jenesis is junior communications major at Trevecca Nazarene University with minors in organizational communications, leadership, and worship arts. Along with being a full time student, she also helps lead worship at her home church, Eastgate Creative Christian Fellowship in Nashville, TN. Being the youngest of six kids and having 11 nieces and nephews, Jenesis is a lover of people and has not an ounce of introversion in her body. She loves listening and playing music, has a passion for others, and is a personality type enthusiast. She is a 2w3 on the Enneagram and an ESFJ on the Myers Briggs.

Joann Harp
Fellowship Director
Joann’s current role is actively teaching middle school English in Texas where she has been teaching for 17 years. Along with her degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Spanish, she also holds a ministry teaching certification that has equipped her to teach God’s Word leading women through countless Bible studies. Her ultimate goal and passion is discipling women and teaching them how to disciple others. She also loves to spend time in God’s word daily, write, read, speak, cook, workout, teach, and sing worship music. Other loves of her life are being a wife and a mom to two amazing adult children and walking her rescue dog Scooby (who is the size of a small pony)!

Sara Broyhill Anderson
Director of Christian Worldview and Biblical Foundations
Sara Broyhill Anderson is an author, Christian apologist, attorney, and mother who represents many everyday Christians who want to know how to navigate the world we have come to know. She is passionate about helping people stand up to the pressures of modern culture with biblical truths. As a trained advocate, theologian, and parent, Sara is especially concerned about the next generation. She sees apologetics as an overlooked, yet vitally important tool to challenge secular lies that inundate culture. Her desire is to elevate our truth needs above our felt needs to leave a much needed legacy—a legacy of faith.
Sara has earned her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Divinity in Christian Apologetics with high honors. She started Fruits of Faith Ministries in 2016 which now reaches thousands of people each week on social media. Sara is a speaker with Women of the Well Communicators as well as an official member of the MOPS speakers network. Sara wrote 20/20 Vision: How Exodus 20:20 Brings the Purpose of our Trials into Focus and The Best Is Yet to Come: Facing the Fears of Today With God’s Hope for Tomorrow.

Shawna Goldstein
Networking Director
Shawna has studied and taught the Bible to others for over two decades, utilizing her degrees in Biblical Literature and Christian Education. She has served in volunteer and staff roles in various churches, camps, and schools, working with women, children, and couples. Shawna loves to speak and teach (from youth camps to women’s events and anything in between)! She just published her first book, Raise Them in the Word, a Bible study for moms and their kids. In her most recent role as women’s ministry coordinator, Shawna developed a passion for connecting women. She loves sharing ideas and empowering women to make an impact for Christ wherever they are. Shawna is a motivator, whether encouraging women in ministry or pushing students in her Pilates classes! Her home is in Cincinnati with her husband, Chad, and their three sons.
